What to watch when you take OTP on a temp mail

Two failures dominate: a mistyped address, and the other site never sending. Otpix checks the box every 4 seconds; you do not have to stare when the title flashes. Watch the line you pasted, and whether the other page said “sent.”

Make the pasted line and the box the same

A truncated copy, a phone keyboard eating the dot, or a form appending its own domain sends the letter elsewhere. Copy once from the home page, look at the full address in a notes app, then paste. Custom prefixes: letters, digits, dots, hyphens, underscores. Trust what the box header shows. That is the usual empty-box cause — not “temp mail is broken.”

Confirmations often queue

Trials, download desks, and overseas panels put mail in a queue. A minute or two is common. Keep this tab open. Numeric codes become chips. The countdown starts when this message arrived, not when you opened the page. After two empty minutes, follow no verification code.

A block is not a delay

If the other site says “use a regular email,” it is filtering the domain or the format. Changing the prefix will not help. Read blocked and stop after two failures. Money, government, SSO, and password reset do not belong here: when not to use it. Ten new addresses will not make them send faster.

Copy and leave

OTP is one-shot. Copy the digits, then delete the message or clear the box. Do not write this address into an account you will open again. The value is that the verification can be thrown away — not that you gained a second identity.
